Rhubarb Festival
At the beginning of May, when rhubarb is in season, we invite you to the village of Saschiz (15 min away from us), where farmers and small producers from the area will gather and showcase their rhubarb based treats. Come discover the community spirit, taste all the local goodies, enjoy the sounds of brass bands and guitar or organ recitals in the fortified church and participate in contests.
The entry is free, but donations are welcomed.
Sighisoara Medieval Festival
Sword fights, troubadours and minstrels, dangerous witches or princesses in long colourful dresses - this is the most prominent medieval festival in Romania. Visitor are transported back in time in Sighisoara’s centuries old citadel where they can enjoy medieval music, dance and theatre performances, horse shows and sword battle tournaments, crafts, or cuisine workshops. Costumes, parades, historic reenactments and live concerts are not to be missed!

The Haferland Festival celebrates the rich Saxon culture and traditions in the region between Sighișoara and Rupea, known as “Oat Country” or Haferland. Every summer the Saxons’ return to their homeland to share their heritage and tell the story of their community. The week long programme festival includes traditional Saxon music and dances, film displays and photography exhibitions, food stands with local delicacies and the traditional ball of the Transylvanian Saxons.
Transylvania Bike Trails Race 2025, 11th edition
One of the biggest events in the region, the TBT annual race festival is a real treat for MTB lovers of all ages and levels.
The festival includes 5 days of cycling, 6 Saxon villages, lots of highlands with excellent views, dozens of delicious dishes and thousands of cool people.

SoNoRo Musikland 2024
We are delighted to announce this year’s SoNoRo Musikland jam session to be held in our orchard, at Mesendorf Gasthaus on the 2nd of August.
The jam session is part of the larger annual festival, an already established event in Transylvanian towns and villages, that brings classical music concerts to fortified churches and traditional courtyards of local guesthouses.
SoNoRo Musikland is more than just a festival - it is an unforgettable musical and cultural experience, combining a passion for music with the beauty of nature and local traditions. World-class musicians come together with music lovers to share magical moments and enjoy the diverse rhythms and vibrant landscape of Transylvania.

ICon Arts Festival
UCIMR joyfully announces the XXII edition of the ICon Arts Transylvania Festival, taking place from July 20th to August 11th at various locations throughout Transylvania. Featuring a rich program including classical, contemporary, and jazz concerts, artistic residencies, masterclasses, and the ICon Arts Transylvania Academy, the event will bring together over 120 artists from around the world. This edition promises an eclectic, multicultural, and interdisciplinary experience, offering audiences the opportunity to enjoy the virtuosity of music in a picturesque setting, enhanced by Transylvanian traditional cuisine. On the 17th of July we are inviting you to a classical music recital held by the Brasov Youth Orchestra in our orchard.
Gastronomic Retreat in Transylvania
We are delighted to announce the first gastronomic retreat hosted at Meșendorf Gasthaus.
Together with Cook and Travel, the lovely organisers of this wonderful event, we invite you explore Transylvanian cuisine in all its forms, eat and sometimes cook together, taste artisanal products and enjoy the peace and quiet of Meșendorf.
